Filet is an aquatic monster. Filet was mostly shaped by hand except for the coils used to build half the base. The fins, tail, and other features were added to the original base. Black underglaze was used to add depth to the fine details throughout the piece, as well as some red underglaze mixed with the black to create a gory deep crimson look.
